If there’s one thing that Melinda (Tina Huang) can’t abide, it’s incompetence…and the employees at the SPD aren’t the sharpest knives in the drawer. Therefore, it’s up to Melinda herself to get the job done.
First things first – she needs a body. And since no one can find Philip Kiriakis’s (Jay Kenneth Johnson) corpse, she decides to drag Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Victor (John Aniston) down to the station and convince them to declare Philip legally dead. Kate was gung-ho to get the papers signed, but Victor hesitated…for all of a hot minute.
And with their John Hancocks on the appropriate forms, Melinda ordered the spouses Grant to arrest Brady Black (Eric Martsolf); and just when he was starting to flashback to the night of his attack, and Philip’s disappearance!

Days of our Lives: Best Laid Plans
Now that Rex Brady’s (Kyle Lowder) hanging around Salem, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) knew that she had one shot to get herself and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) out of dodge.
And despite her best efforts – which included convincing Xander to vacay in London – Gwen failed to prevent the inevitable; Xander and Rex came face to face. No points for guessing what the first question out of Xander’s mouth will be.

After a trying day, all Kate wanted was to retire to her bedroom and get some peace and quiet. The last thing that she expected to stumble upon was a very alive Philip, looking pretty pleased with himself. Things just got very complicated for Ms. Roberts.
