May is almost here — which means Jen Lilley returns to the role of Theresa Donovan soon on Days of Our Lives (DOOL). Which sister will Brady choose?!
As of right now, Brady (Eric Martsolf) is fixated on Eve (Kassie DePaiva). They’ve gotten to know each other and he’s seen a side of her that’s endeared her to him. She’s great with his son (and her nephew), Tate. She’s a worthy partner and rival. She’s the whole package.
But her sister Theresa is the mother of his child — and he fought hard to be with her. Unfortunately, when Theresa left town–supposedly back to using drugs–her ditching him and Tate broke his heart and it wasn’t easy to recover.
But, Brady doesn’t have all the information. What will happen when (okay, if, but still…) he learns that she left town to protect his life?
She went to take down Mateo, her ex-drug lord boyfriend, to protect him and Tate. That’s pretty selfless, even if the goodbye seemed heartless.
This could go a couple of ways. Brady could forgive her, knowing that Theresa risked her life and gave up her son all for his greater good — or he could remain furious at her for not trusting him enough to just be honest about what was happening.
If the latter happens, then his grownup relationship with Eve, who certainly doesn’t need rescuing (which was a problem Theresa has had in spades), could end up looking like a better bet for Brady. In fact, that is exactly what Soap Hub thinks will happen in the end.
Of course, those words “in the end” are pivotal. After all, it would be an awfully short stay (and we’re hoping it won’t be) for Theresa if Brady comes to that conclusion quickly.
Hopefully, we’ll see lots of angst, perhaps even a try at a reconciliation, before this epiphany will come to Brady. What it does to the sisters’ once-close relationship should also be interesting to watch. And, we can’t wait!
