Days of our Lives Valentine’s Day Love For Our Favorite Salem Couples

On this Valentine’s Day, Soap Hub wants to celebrate all the couples we love on Days of our Lives for the various ways they’ve shown us that love can warm your heart and make you root for them to not only survive whatever obstacles are thrown in their way but to also persevere! Way to go, Cupid!

Days of our Lives Love Couples

This show may not have invented the supercouple but they sure did perfect it. Several of the soap’s current crop have been around for decades so the first thing we want to do is celebrate everlasting love! There are a few couples in Salem who have survived decades of machinations to tear them apart — including death!

Current couples who have logged their time in the three decades’ column include Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), who just remarried on Valentine’s Day in Salem (Thursday’s episode), John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall),  Jack (Matt Ashford) and Jennifer (Cady McClain), and Tony (Thaao Penghlis) and Anna (Leann Hunley). These couples give us hope that love can triumph.

The current couple who embodies Romeo and Juliet so much they’ve played it out in their dreams is of course CIN — Ciara (Victoria Konefal) and Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). He helped give her confidence after an earlier rape traumatized her while she believed he was worthy of a second chance after his mental illness caused him to kill people. Their love reminded fans of her epic parents, the late Bo (Peter Reckell) and his Fancy Face, Hope (Kristian Alfonso).

For sex appeal, look no further than Xarah — Xander (Paul Telfer) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). After finding guys for whom she was always their second choice, former (current?) bad boy Xander was a nice change of pace for Sarah and she gave him the reason to turn his life around. They can sleuth together, fulfill each other’s fantasies, and just about anything else — and fans love ’em.

Salem isn’t just where reformed bad boys get a second chance — Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) proves bad girls also deserve and need love, and hapless-at-love Brady (Eric Martsolf) has been the guy for Kristen for years. Now they have a daughter and life could be perfect for them if she wasn’t in jail for stabbing his grandfather. Oh well!

Other couples who have what it takes include Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abby (Marci Miller), those sexy newlyweds/new parents Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani (Sal Stowers), and believe it or not — Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) and Victor (John Aniston).

Cupid seems confused as to whether Jake (Brandon Barash) should find love with Cougar Kate (Lauren Koslow) or Gabi (Camila Banus) but watching what happens between these three is never dull! Also, should Justin (Wally Kurth) find love again with his late wife’s doppelganger, Bonnie (Judi Evans)? Will Abe (James Reynolds) and Valerie (Vanessa Williams) reconnect? We sure hope so! Ain’t love grand in Salem? Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
