Stephen Nichols’ Days of our Lives alter ego Steve Johnson has had some courageous brothers-in-law on the show between Roman Brady and Bo Brady, but in real life, the actor has someone who is just as heroic.
Stephen Nichols And Family Heroes
Nichols recently took to his Instagram account to pay tribute to the man married to his sister, for work he is doing to help protect those dealing with COVID-19.
“Kudos to my brother in law, David Gordon, who is putting his Special Needs Solutions workshop to good use,” Stephen Nichols wrote. “To date, he and his volunteers have created and donated more than 2,500 masks! And by the looks of it, plenty of people are happy to be benefiting from his and his volunteers’ good works. Thanks for all you’re doing!”
The message accompanies a photo of Gordon hard at work at the sewing machine, creating one of the decorative masks. There are also photos of people wearing the masks, which include a Spider-Man design, an Incredible Hulk design, and others of flowers and polka dots.
Gordon serves as executive director of Special Need Solutions, a Tucson, Arizona-based company that creates custom made furniture, clothing, devices, and equipment that help individuals with disabilities progress physically, emotionally, and cognitively.
Of course, back on Days of Our Lives, another of Steve’s former brothers-in-law, Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth), is currently fighting for the hand of his former wife Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), so not all brothers-in-law are created equal.
And even though Steve has moved aside to let them continue as a couple, an act he did because he feels guilty about his actions when brainwashed as SteVano, don’t be surprised to see this triangle play out further in the months to come. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
