As previously reported, Daytime Emmy-nominated actress Linsey Godfrey is exiting Days of our Lives and her role as Sarah Horton. Many of her castmates took to social media to share their feelings about the actress’s upcoming departure.
“We made more headlines than we did scenes but it was pleasure nonetheless,” shared Lamon Archey (Eli). “Blessings to you on your new journey. You gained a friend with me.” Godfrey replied, “I’m so grateful and honored to have gained you as one. Love you friend.”
“Lovely inside and out is a cliché but it is true of you. We are bonded. The road is long,” posted James Reynolds (Abe). A touched Godfrey replied: “My beloved Mr. James, I can’t tell how happy and grateful I am for your friendship. Love you.”
“Linsey you have been incredible!” tweeted Greg Meng, the show’s former co-executive producer. “You have not only made some additional lifelong friends…but you have earned many additional fans due to your amazing work!”
“I’m so humbled and grateful for such a beautiful compliment,” Godfrey replied. “Thank you so much for the opportunity. I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity.”
“Will miss you lady!” wrote Isabel Durant (Claire). Godfrey replied: “Thank you lovely, it was a pleasure.”
“Love you,” posted one of Godfrey’s most frequent scene partners, Stacy Haiduk (Kristen/Susan). Godfrey replied: “Nothing better than getting to end my run with you my beautiful friend.”
“Linsey, I will so miss your luminous presence on-screen and off,” shared Wally Kurth (Justin). Godfrey responded: “My dear friend! This means the world to me.”
“An absolute rockstar with infectious energy,” wrote Robert Scott Wilson (Ben). “Can’t wait to see what you do next.” Godfrey said in response: “This mean so much, thank you sweet friend.”
And last, but far from least, Paul Telfer, AKA Xander, the former bad boy turned romantic lead thanks in no small part to the Xander/Sarah (“Xarah”) romance, posted: “Love you Linsey.”
No word yet on how exactly Godfrey’s Sarah will exit the canvas. Stay tuned to see what’s going to happen next. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
