It’s an exciting time in the Paul Telfer-Carmen Cusack household, as the Days of our Lives star revealed. His wife is appearing in her first feature film — and what a first it is — It’s A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood, which opens nationwide today.
The handsome actor loves to share tidbits about his actress wife’s successes with his Twitter followers, and this movie role is certainly chief among them. In the new film, she will be playing the producer of Mr. Rogers (played by Hanks) PBS show, Margy. After seeing the masterpiece, Telfer enthused about the experience.
“Do yourself a favor and take everyone you love to see this beautiful film! Here’s us at the “star-studded” premiere (@carmen_cusack is the star so I guess I’ll be the stud ; ) So proud that Carmen’s first movie is something so wonderful!” shared Paul Telfer.
Honoring A Legend
The film, based on a real-life story, is about a journalist whose life was made better by the friendship that develops when he takes a surprising assignment to profile children’s television pioneer Fred Rogers.
While this may be her first film, the actress has mostly made a name for herself on the stage. She originated the role of Alice Murphy in the musical Bright Star, which was written and composed by comedian Steve Martin and Edie Brickell.
Telfer has been kept very busy on Days of our Lives, now that Xander is trying to play the hero to Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) as he plays dad to her daughter Mickey. The latest story involving the baby’s kidnapping should offer plenty of good stuff for the actor to sink his teeth into — which should make fans very happy.
Considering how Xander has reinvented himself and become a fan fave has certainly provided a lot of enjoyment for fans. Stay tuned to see what Xander does next. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
