Days of our Lives Star Melissa Reeves Checks In After Tennessee Tornado

Early Tuesday, tornadoes ripped through Tennessee towns, including near where Days of our Lives star Melissa Reeves, her husband Scott Reeves, and their two kids, as well as their new coffee bean business, reside. So far, 25 lives have reportedly been lost. Later in the day, the beloved star made sure to let fans know how they’re doing.

Melissa Reeves Checks In

Reeves did what so many people in this country and around the world have started to do in the wake of any kind of natural disaster — she turned to social media to let everyone know she and her family are okay. In this case, the actress posted to Instagram the following message.

“#nashvillestrong always. Please pray y’all for everyone affected by the tornado 🙏🏻❤️ and thank you for all of the incredible messages regarding our safety. We are fine but so many are not. Please give, pray, whatever you can to help those in need🙏🏻❤️”

Husband Scott, who played Steven Lars on General Hospital, Ryan on The Young and the Restless, and most recently was on the primetime show Nashville (with fellow GH star Jonathan Jackson), retweeted the message from their business, Revival Roasting Company.

Giving Back

“In shock over the tragic aftermath of the tornadoes in East Nashville last night…praying for those who lost loved ones, homes, livelihoods, and praying for those who must rebuild. So grateful our dear friends at @summertrianglepottery are safe!”

They then had one of their items on sale Tuesday, with 10% of all purchases going toward East Nashville’s tornado relief. No word on whether or not that will continue or what else the couple has planned for their beloved community far away from the Hollywood scene.
