They are absolutely adorable and now, Days of our Lives star Melissa Reeves and her soap veteran husband Scott Reeves are going to be passing along those too-cute-for-words genes to the next generation as they announce they’re about to be grandparents.
Melissa Reeves and Scott Reeves’ Big News
Scott shared daughter Emily’s news about the new baby on Instagram saying, “Yes, it’s true! We are so excited to officially take the names Sweet Mama(@missyreeves) and Papa G(me)! Congrats to our amazing kids, @nate.smith02 and @emily.smith.music! We love you guys and can’t wait to meet the next generation!”
Melissa, or should we say Sweet Mama, also got in the act, sharing a gorgeous picture of the happy couple while writing, “And baby makes 3💕❤️ baby smith ❤️ July 2020❤️ Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Psalm 127:3. ❤️ @scottreevesforreal and I are so darn excited!!!! Getting our papa G and Sweet Mama hearts ready for our first grandbaby❤️❤️❤️”
A Love Story
Considering that when she appeared on the soap scene — on Santa Barbara as Jade Perkins to be exact — fans knew her as Melissa Brennan. So viewers have followed along as she fell for Scott when both were on Days of our Lives, where Melissa continues to play Jennifer Horton and Scott played Jake Hogansen back in 1988. They married on March 23, 1990.
Scott left the show but went on to play Ryan on The Young and the Restless and later Steven Webber on General Hospital. The beautiful couple went on to have two kids — Emily in 1992 and Larry in 1997.
For the daytime community to witness it all and now see Emily about to become a mom, while her folks to become grandparents — well, it is rather emotional. Soap Hub sends congratulations to the entire family.
