Eric Brady may have his hands full with a newly sober Maggie and a very strange acting Nicole — really his dreaded ex Kristen DiMera — but actor Eric Martsolf certainly has a reason to celebrate
That’s because he was born on July 27, 1971, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania,
meaning that he is turning 48 years old today! Had Martsolf continued in his father’s footsteps he would have become a lawyer.
In fact, the budding dramatist majored in mass media politics and constitutional law at Dickinson College. But, upon graduation, Martsolf knew that he was destined to become an actor.
In 1999, Martsolf auditioned for the new NBC soap opera Passions hoping to nab the role of the preppy and privileged Ethan Crane. He was unsuccessful at the time but he did appear on the show for one episode as a cop.
However, in 2002, Travis Schuldt the actor who was cast as Ethan vacated the role and Martsolf auditioned again. This time, he won the part.
Martsolf stayed with the show until it’s cancelation in 2008. That same year he joined the cast of NBC’s final daytime serial Days of Our Lives.
Just like his time at Passions Martsolf was a recast. His new role was legacy character Brady Black and Martsolf won the 2014 Outstanding Supporting Actor Daytime Emmy for his portrayal.
Soap Hub would like to wish Martsolf a very happy birthday and you can too by clicking the twitter link below. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
