Days of our Lives Star Christie Clark Gives A Coronavirus Update

Soap fans watched her grow up before their eyes as Carrie Brady and she’s known as one of the soaps’ nicest people. Now, Days of our Lives star Christie Clark is updating her followers on how the coronavirus has affected both her and her family.

“This is most likely a coronavirus story,” Clark, who’s currently in the United Kingdom, shared in a video posted on her Instagram account. “Can’t get tested unless you check in to hospital in the U.K. Woke up Tuesday with chills, fever, headache, body aches and major sore throat. Was in bed for 3 days…zapped of energy. Our yoga instructor was told she had it and I was with her 5 days previous to getting this strange virus.

“Most people don’t have much to worry about,” notes Clark, who last visited Salem in 2019 to partake in the farewell tribute to her grandmother, Caroline (the late Peggy McCay). “I’ve had worse flu symptoms before. But, I’m very worried about my parents and my in laws, as I’m sure a lot of you are.

“My neighbor saved my butt. This angel made dinner for us every night and left it on our door. Stock up on easy dinners. In case, two parents get it at the same time which is what happened to my husband and me. Tests are supposedly coming soon to prove that certain people have already had it. Then we can once again join society and hopefully, help on the front line and rebuild the economy. That’s my plan. Stay safe, wash your hands, help each other. #coronavirus…#kidsathome.”

Clark says it’s not like she’s doing to die. She says the toughest part is listening to concerns voiced by her 6-year-old daughter. The actress has assured her little one that “Mommy will be fine” and that she has a strong core. “She’s really interested in cores,” Clark notes, promising her followers she’ll report back more later.
