She may have gone to that great soap in the sky as her Days of Our Lives character Jordan was killed off, but Chrishell Stause is still interacting with her many fans on social media but a recent encounter prompted her to stand up for herself.
After sharing a fun photo of herself on Instagram, one poster (we can’t really call this person a “fan”) tagged her as being #trailerpark. Rather than ignore the comment, the actress decided to take a stand.
“I am from a #trailerpark,” Stause replied. “In fact, when I lived in a trailer park, that meant we were doing better than usual. I got mocked my whole life for that — now I stand proud for all the kids that do the best with what they are dealt.”
The eye makeup effect Stause used that prompted the remark from the poster, Stause says, is “a silly filter, but your comment is actual trash. You are not better than people in trailer parks. BYE!!!”
Stause added that she normally ignores troll comments, but she’s lately had some time on her hands! Twitter user Jen Niles wrote to Stause and defended her. “[I love your] authenticity, honesty, telling it like it is. Every day I’m a bigger fan – & since I met you in person & we talked for like 25 mins I know you’re the real deal. So much love for you!!”
“So much love right back!!” Stause replied. “Every once in a while it is worth replying to negative comments. I feel like I owe to the kids currently in the situation I was in to speak up. Wherever you live does not determine your worth!”
Stause recently revealed the news that her Netflix series, Selling Sunset, has been renewed for a second season. While there are no rumors of her returning to Salem, let’s face it, who doesn’t make a return trip from the great beyond in soaps? Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC.
