It was a somber, yet optimistic Easter for former Days of our Lives star Chrishell Stause (Jordan), as the actress shared that she was working through memories of her late father, who passed away Easter 2019. Still, she offered a message of hope and encouragement to others.

“Today marks 1year without you Dad. The Easter message is all about the renewal of hope. And I think we could all benefit from that message right about now,” she wrote next to a collage of photos of her late father. “Also no one loved Zeppelin more than him so I thought we could also benefit from a message in the spirit of my Dad from his Stairway to Heaven.”
She explained that in her house, she was listening to Led Zeppelin in tribute to her dad. Stause also wished fans a “lovely Easter” and talked about how everyone should be reaching out to their loved ones, even when it’s not a holiday.
“Many of us can’t be with family physically, but call them if you are lucky enough to have them here or use today to remember and honor them,” she said.

Her dad, a drummer, died from lung cancer after a long battle with the disease. At the time, Stause tearfully posted this to her Instagram account:
“You are at peace now, and ever the Catholic man at heart, I think you chose Easter for a reason,” she wrote next to a throw-back photo of the two of them.
“I grew up in an unconventional family and my dad was a drummer-the heartbeat of the music. Today we lost the heartbeat of our family but I am happy knowing he took his music to heaven.
