It’s no secret that Days of Our Lives icon Alison Sweeney has a passion for food, as she shares recipes and cooking tips on social media all the time. The former Sami Brady also hosted more than 200 episodes of The Biggest Loser and has appeared on The Chew multiple times.
This weekend, Sweeney took to her Instagram account to remind people to think of others during this troubling time during the coronavirus pandemic. She posted a photo alongside her 11-year-old daughter Megan holding a meal that they donated to those in need.
“Megan and I love supporting @feedingamerica !! These are uncertain times for everyone, but for households facing hunger, the coronavirus fallout can present an even greater threat. You can help families impacted by the coronavirus. Support your local food bank. A link to donate is in my bio. #sunday #family #donate #covid”
Sweeney also posted the link to donate: www.feedingamerica.org/coronavirus. The actress also has a series of videos on her Instagram entitled “Ali’s Eats,” with the latest chapter from last week showing Megan making pasta.
“It was so fun to have Megan show us how she makes pasta from scratch,” Sweeney wrote. “Thank you all for watching along with us. She loved the chance to share her skillz.”
A few weeks ago, Sweeney reminded her Instagram followers to support their local restaurants as well, posting a photo of holding a taco for dinner. “Love a comforting routine. And tacos just make us happy. Also, I’m glad to be able to support our local restaurant by getting dinner delivered,” she wrote.
Although the actress has been off DAYS for a while, Sami will be returning to Salem this fall and who knows what sort of trouble she may be cooking up. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
