David is one popular little guy on Days of our Lives. First, his mother, Jordan (Chrishell Stause), used him to keep Rafe (Galen Gering) on a leash. Then Lani (Sal Stowers) became temporarily obsessed with him.
Rafe got custody of the boy after Jordan was murdered and moved ahead to adopt him. He also hired a nanny named Evan (Brock Kelly), who seemed too good to be true. That’s because he was. He was really David’s biological dad, Christian. Oh, and he’s the son of 1990s-era villain, Orpheus (George DelHoyo).
Orpheus took the blame for Evan kidnapping David, then pulled some ISA strings to allow them both to walk with no criminal charges. Now Evan wants his son back. And he’s hired a top-notch lawyer – his sister, Zoey (Kelly Thiebaud).
Who, just to make things more fun, is also suing for custody of David – as his biological aunt. Obviously, Rafe won’t stand for this. But what choice does he have, really?
Rafe has another choice. Because the same way David has an aunt on his father’s side, he has an uncle on his mother’s side: Ben (Robert Scott Wilson).
Sure, Ben is a reformed serial killer. But is he really that much worse than Orpheus’s family? Ben has more of a relationship with David. And he has a secret weapon: Ciara (Victoria Konefal), who was Rafe’s stepdaughter for a time.
Wouldn’t little David be better off with the uncle he sort of knows, and his uncle’s girlfriend, where they can play one big happy family, than with a total stranger… who is single, to boot?
Rafe admitted he might not be able to hold onto David during the custody battle. Should Ben and Ciara sue for custody of David rather than let either Zoey or Evan have him? Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
