The Days of our Lives recaps for August 9 – August 13, 2021, feature Ciara Brady remembering her love for Ben Weston, someone taking Sami Brady DiMera off of EJ DiMera’s hands, and Xander Cook laying it all on the line for Gwen Rizczech.
Days of our Lives Recaps Highlight
Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) deposited Ciara (Victoria Konefal) at the cabin where they’d first fallen in love with one another; she’s surprised to see that he’s rebuilt it from the ground up.
An argument between the two resulted in Ben severely injuring his foot; Ciara rendered aid, then tried to make her escape via the limousine parked out front…it refused to start.
Ben managed to convince Ciara to spend the night at the cabin with him, and then to share a meal of cold Chinese food with him the next morning. A perusal of her fortune cookie jump-starts Ciara’s memory of her time with Ben.
Opposite this, Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson), Lani Grant (Sal Stowers), and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) learned that Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) offered up a $100,000 reward for information on Ciara and Ben. Lani was furious at her aunt’s intervention, while Theo was grateful.
Paulina’s actions bore fruit, and Theo and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) were able to deduce where Ben and Ciara were. They get to the cabin in time to find the newly reunited couple cuddling in bed!
DAYS Recaps: The Truth Will Out
EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) confronted Sami (Alison Sweeney) about her infidelity, but she denied the charge. When he needled her further, Sami broke down and confessed to sleeping with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) while they were being held prisoner by Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk); EJ produced his sister’s missive, which prompted Sami to come clean about her and Lucas’s other tryst.

Sami made a beeline for Nicole Walker Brady’s (Arianne Zucker) apartment; Nicole refused to take responsibility for the ruination of Sami’s marriage, insisting instead that Sami herself is the true culprit. Sami returned to the DiMera mansion in time to interrupt a bitter confrontation between EJ and Lucas; EJ ordered Sami off the DiMera grounds.
In response, Sami headed to find Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus), hoping that she, as the estate’s rightful owner, will allow her to continue living there. Upon reaching Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) abode, Sami is grabbed from behind by a person unknown!
DOOL Recaps: Wayward Daughter
Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) revealed to Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) that his daughter, Gwen, had been identified as a drug peddler, working on Dr. Clay Snyder’s (Michael Lowery) payroll. When Jack confronted Gwen, she began to crack under the pressure, which resulted in Xander (Paul Telfer) stepping forward and “admitting” that he was actually the one working for Snyder.
Days of our Lives Recaps: The Best of the Rest
* Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) was flummoxed by the attention Rafe heaped upon Nicole, though she tried her damnedest to be a good girlfriend to Miss Walker rather than a jealous rival.
* Gabi downloaded spyware onto Philip Kiriakis’s (Jay Kenneth Johnson) laptop, then sweet-talked him into considering hiring Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) at Titan. Philip and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) had a tense exchange over the latter’s interest in Brady Black (Eric Martsolf).
* Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) resolved to remain in police custody rather than give up Ben and Ciara’s location – much to Belle Brady (Martha Madison) and Eli Grant’s (Lamon Archey) chagrin.
