The Days of Our Lives recaps for April 26-30, 2021, features a tragic accident, a brand new coupling, one very angry mother, and so much more!
Just when it seemed that things were looking up for Gwen (Emily O’Brien) – what with Jack’s (Matthew Ashford) invitation to move in with him and all – the other shoe dropped.
Severe cramps forced her to make an emergency stop at University Hospital, and following an ultrasound, Gwen learned that she had lost her baby.
While still processing the news, Gwen headed over to the DiMera mansion in order to share the news with Chad (Billy Flynn) – but she came face-to-face with Abigail (Marci Miller) instead.
Abby, unaware of her sister’s miscarriage, poured forth such vitriol that Gwen finally retaliated with a slap – and the argument eventually culminated in a physical altercation at the head of the staircase.
In her struggle to extricate herself from Abby’s grasp, Gwen tripped, tumbled down the stairs, and landed in a heap at Chad and Jack’s feet.
After stashing Kate (Lauren Koslow) in the DiMera mansion’s wine cellar, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) donned an exact replica of her prisoner’s face. Then, she used her disguise to break Jake’s (Brandon Barash) heart.
Though he’d formulated a plan to kidnap Ciara (Victoria Konefal) and attempt to force her into remembering their life together, Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) ultimately decided to let her accompany Theo (Cameron Johnson) to South Africa. However, he did succeed in getting her to accept the washer that he had used in place of an actual engagement ring.
After learning that Chanel (Precious Way) had been working with Xander (Paul Telfer) to bilk her out of her hard-earned cash, Paulina (Jackée Harry) threw in the towel and insisted that her daughter was a lost cause. Perhaps she deserves a husband with no money, no prospects, and whole lotta problems.
Rafe (Galen Gering) rejoiced when he believed that Hope (Kristian Alfonso) would be returning to Salem, and when he learned that she would actually be meeting Ciara in Johannesburg, he mourned.
Ava (Tamara Braun) offered him a shoulder to cry on, and a pair of lips to kiss, and he took her up on both counts. Later, when Ava confided in Nicole (Arianne Zucker) about the smooch, Mrs. Brady voiced her displeasure…then copped to the fact that she’s merely jealous of her friend’s good fortune.
When Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) confessed that she’d scheduled an appointment between him and a top brain specialist, Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) nearly came clean about his and Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) scheme. But Sami rode to the rescue and fixed it so her ex could refrain from visiting with the doc.
Shortly after making bail, Belle (Martha Madison) learned that her father was under the impression that she did indeed kill Charlie (Mike Manning). After dissuading him of the notion, Belle busied herself with trying to come up with other viable suspects.
In the meantime, Jan (Heather Lindell) worked to undermine Belle’s case. She let slip to D.A. Trask (Tina Huang) that proof existed of her rival’s guilt – the recording of John’s (Drake Hogestyn) hypnosis session, and the tip resulted in John being brought down to the station for questioning.
Gabi (Camila Banus) attempted to keep memories of Jake at bay by sleeping with Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson), but they so consumed her that she had to halt the proceedings.
And to his credit, Philip took the whole exercise in stride. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
