The Days of our Lives recaps for October 19 – October 22, 2021, featuring the Devil getting his due, an adventurous couple getting their sleuth on, several detainees being assured that freedom is on the horizon, and so much more.
Days of our Lives Recaps: Monday, October 18
John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) are both bowled over by Marlena Evans Black’s (Deidre Hall) okaying Johnny’s film project. John strenuously objects, but Marlena shoots him down; she later gives herself over fully to the Devil.
Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) and D.A. Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) meet, and agree on a quid-pro-quo arrangement: she’ll drop the charges leveled against Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth), and Victor will provide her with a higher profile criminal to prosecute. To that end, Victor hires Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) to track down Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).
Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) are locked inside the same jail cell; Bonnie quickly picks up on the fact that Gwen is in love with Xander; Gwen tells Bonnie about Justin’s arrest.
DAYS Recaps: Tuesday, October 19
Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) attempted to bolster Philip Kiriakis’s (Jay Kenneth Johnson) spirits…Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) told Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) that she’s vacated the Kiriakis mansion; he offers her shelter at John and Marlena’s townhouse; Chloe declines. She does, however, agree to let him help her move into the Salem Inn. Unbeknownst to the pair, Lucas and Philip spy on them entering the establishment.
A possessed Marlena was able to shield her telltale eyes from a prying John, but he remains convinced that some untoward fate has befallen his wife…Kate and Roman reconnect, and she admits that, in time, she may be open to returning to being more than just friends.
Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) have a quiet night in; he mends Henry’s baby blanket, and his efforts earn him a kiss. Johnny and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) drop by for a visit; Johnny manages to get Allie’s Jane Hancock on an actor’s contract. Chanel agrees to play Celeste in Johnny’s film.
DOOL Recaps: Wednesday, October 20
Nicole Walker Brady (Arianne Zucker) agreed to EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) request for a dinner do-over; they run into Steve and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) at Julie’s Place. Despite her misgivings, Kayla clears the way for Steve to clone EJ’s phone in the hopes of discovering Kristen’s number.
Days of our Lives recaps show Justin encouraged Bonnie not to give up hope – and reiterated his plan to marry her once their ordeal is settled…Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller) opinioned that Gwen lied to their father regarding the information that Snyder was blackmailing her with.
Days of our Lives Recaps: Thursday, October 21
Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) was perturbed when Abe Carver (James Reynolds) suggested that Marlena be the one to marry them; she gives in when Abe reveals how much it would mean to him.
Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) demanded that Marlena allow her access to Doug Williams (Bill Hayes); Marlena refused to do so. Julie then called upon Eli Grant and Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) for support; Eli theorized that his clout as an SPD officer would help circumvent Marlena’s “No Visitors” order.
During a private confab, Marlena encouraged Paulina to tell Lani that she is her mother and that she and Abe are no relation…An armed Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) confronted Carmine (Richard Stevens) over his plan to frame Jake for murder; the two men tussle over the gun; Carmine emerges the victor, and fires a bullet into an innocent bystander, Abe.
DOOL Recaps: Friday, October 22
Abe was rushed to University Hospital, while Jake was arrested and hauled down to the precinct house; Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) vowed to see him vindicated…Marlena stymied Eli and Julie’s efforts to see Doug…Word of Abe’s injury spread.
Marlena lured Julie to St. Luke’s with the intention of drowning her in the baptismal font; John’s appearance put a stop to that. When pressed, the Devil inside Marlena made himself known.
