The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, August 23, 2021, features Mr. and Mrs. Weston looking towards their future, Paulina Price embarrassing her daughter – as every mother is wont to do, and Xander Cook learning that crime doesn’t exactly pay dividends.
After their quickie wedding at Chez Black, Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) settled in for a long honeymoon back at the former’s apartment. The couple discussed their shared dreamscape, including that fantasy about having a baby all their own that they named Bo. Afterward, it was time for the first dance…the groom’s injured ankle be damned!
With Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) riding a love high, he decided to share the wealth – by introducing Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) to Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) recently returned brother, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman). Color Allie completely uninterested.
Unbeknownst to the pair, Chanel and Johnny have made each other’s acquaintance – and they really like each other. In point of fact, they enjoy each other’s company so much, that even Paulina’s interruption couldn’t quell their desire for one another…but first, they might want to unpack Chanel’s still lingering feelings for another woman.
EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) had quite a proposition for Xander (Paul Telfer): give him back the million dollars that Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) forked over, and he’ll get Xander out of his legal quandary. Bonus: EJ will see to it that Xander gets his job back at Basic Black. It’s really an offer that Xander shouldn’t refuse…so he doesn’t.
Tripp, still high on love, confessed his feelings for Allie. But while he was able to use those three little words – I love you – Allie just couldn’t bring herself to do so. Maybe it was shock – or maybe it has a little something to do with her still lingering feelings for another woman.
