In the heat of the moment, Paulina lets slip that Lani is her daughter.
Theo Carver and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) interrupted Ben Weston and Ciara Brady’s romantic rendezvous; Ciara (Victoria Konefal) reluctantly explained to Theo (Cameron Johnson) that her memory had returned and that she’d be staying with Ben; she returns the ring he used to propose to her. Theo and Shawn leave Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara to their own devices; the reunited couple make love.
Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) surprised Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) by “confessing” to his role in Dr. Clay Snyder’s (Michael Lowry) drug smuggling ring, and to his supposed blackmailing of Gwen to join in the endeavor. Jack evicts Xander from the Horton House; sometime later, Xander is cornered by Shawn and placed under arrest.

Olivia managed to stymie Paulina’s attempt to come clean to Lani about her maternity – but only just….Allie (Lindsay Arnold) expressed her fears that some untoward fate has befallen Sami to Grandpa John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Grandma Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall); she and Marlena then received a text message, purportedly from Sami, claiming to be fine, but unreachable for the foreseeable future.
Allie is disturbed by a dream in which she, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams), and Chanel are sharing the same bed.
