The Days of Our Lives recap for March 1-5, 2021, features Gabi and Abby putting that old adage “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” to the test, Ben and Ciara sharing yet another mind meld, and Sami compounding her trouble.
Against her better judgment, Gabi (Camila Banus) agreed to join forces with Abigail (Marci Miller) and make Gwen (Emily O’Brien) pay for all the damage she had wrought. But Miss Hernandez does have one condition. Abby’s gotta ensure that Jake (Brandon Barash) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) call it quits.
With the negotiations out of the way and the terms agreed upon, the women enacted their hastily thrown together plan. First, Gabi infiltrated the enemy camp – AKA Gwen’s Salem Inn suite. Second, she lulled her into a false sense of security; and then she convinced her to partake of some drugged champagne.
Once Gwen had slipped into unconsciousness, Abby arrived with a means of transport, and the duo made quick work of getting their quarry trussed up inside one of the many rooms inside the DiMera tunnels.
The rest of the plan, which would see Abby force Gwen into confessing all her dirty deeds couldn’t have been simpler…or so the co-conspirators believed. However, Gwen was prepared to play ball. So Abby decided to improvise. But in the meantime, Gwen’s location, and predicament, was discovered by wine seeking Anna (Leann Hunley)!
While Evan (Brock Kelly) did his best to convince Ciara (Victoria Konefal) that her beloved Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) had met an untimely end, the man in question busied himself with a plan to track down his wife.
And luckily, Marlena (Deidra Hall) agreed to indulge him with yet another hypnosis session. While out of his conscious mind, Ben visited Ciara – which bolstered Ciara’s opinion that Ben was alive and well.
In response to his thwarted scheme, Evan decided that he’d have to make the fictional story a reality! Meanwhile, thanks in large part to his father’s violent machinations, Ben learned that it was Orpheus’s (George DelHoyo) son holding Ciara hostage.
Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), as Susan, continued to confound Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin). Just exactly why is “Susan” suddenly coming over all territorial where Brady is concerned?
Kristen played it off as concern for Mr. John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Dr. Marlena Evans, and while Brady seemed to accept the explanation, Chloe remained dubious.
Thanks to some underhanded tactics, Kate and Jake managed to purchase the space that once housed the GabiChic boutique, forcing Titan to look elsewhere for a flagship location.
Sami (Alison Sweeney) managed to convince Belle (Martha Madison) to represent her interests – but only because she claimed that there wasn’t a shred of evidence that could tie her to Charlie’s (Mike Manning) murder.
So imagine Belle’s surprise when Rafe (Galen Gering) announced that Sami’s fingerprints were all over the gun recovered from the crime scene!
Lani (Sal Stowers) was thrilled by the sudden appearance of Aunt Paulina (Jackée Harry) – and Aunt Paulina was thrilled by the sight of her new in-laws. And as for those gorgeous babies… they’re going to be spoiled rotten by their “very rich” Auntie. Days of our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listing for air times.
