The Days of our Lives recaps for June 14-18, 2021, feature EJ putting down roots, Chloe getting a change of address, Abe and Paulina taking their relationship to the next level, and more.
Though initially fearful that EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) has returned with foreknowledge of their affair, Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) are relieved that doesn’t appear to be the case.
Instead, EJ swore that his jaunt to Salem was all in aid of winning back his estranged wife. He summarily convinced Sami to return with him to Rome.
During a return to the DiMera compound, EJ happily reunited with Tony, then learned about the situation regarding Jake’s (Brandon Barash) lackluster performance as CEO of the family company. EJ resolves to right the ship, and to further that goal, he informs Sami that they’re staying put.
Jake visited Kate (Lauren Koslow) in the hospital and filled her in on the events that she’s claiming to have forgotten, namely that he and Gabi (Camila Banus) slept together, and had been caught in the act by Kate herself. Kate disarmed Jake by forgiving him, then played on his sympathies in order to stall his plans to outright dump her.
A planned dinner date between Bonnie (Judi Evans) and Justin (Wally Kurth) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) went awry when Steve accused a toned-down Bonnie of purposefully impersonating Adrianne.
Bonnie gave Steve what for, then tore out of the restaurant; Justin gave chase. During a subsequent heart-to-heart, Justin told Bonnie that she was perfect just the way she was – and that he loved her!
Chad caught Kate applying a perfect layer of lipstick, and convinced her to fess up to her scheme. After doing so, Kate wondered if she could count on Chad’s discretion; he confirmed that she could.
While investigating reports of suspicious activity, Rafe (Galen Gering) discovered that Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) had spent the night at the cabin where he and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) had fallen in love with one another.
The men discussed Ciara’s request for a divorce, and Rafe cautioned Ben that if he truly loves Ciara, he’ll set her free. Claire (Isabel Durant) later makes her way to the cabin and offers Ben her support. He opts not to sign the papers, and instead, immolates them.
Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) vied for the right to provide a recuperating Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) with shelter; she chose to accept Philip’s invitation for room and board at the Kiriakis mansion.
During a moment alone together, Chloe and Brady agreed that she had done the right thing – proximity would most likely breed passionate longing.
Jake arrived at the hospital to collect Kate, and squire her to the DiMera mansion, where Kate engaged in a sparring session with Gabi. Afterward, Kate implored Jake to make love to her!
Shawn (Brandon Beemer), Chloe, and Philip caught Belle (Martha Madison) beside Jan’s (Heather Lindell) bed, grasping the woman’s unplugged ventilator cord. Shawn rushed to remedy the situation, and Belle admitted that she’d been trying to see if Jan was faking her condition – again. As soon as the foursome take their leave, Jan’s pinkie finger beings to twitch…
While on a date with Tripp (Lucas Adams), Allie (Lindsay Arnold) reiterated her excitement over going into business with Chanel (Precious Way). The two women later ran into one another, and Chanel took the opportunity to introduce Allie to Paulina (Jackée Harry).
Paulina overheard talk about the kiss Chanel and Allie shared, and she wondered if her daughter was gay; Chanel said that she wasn’t into labels. Chanel later apologized to Allie for her mother’s other assumption – that the two of them might be a couple – and Allie swore that she didn’t mind. Yet another fraught moment is had.
Meanwhile, Paulina allows Abe (James Reynolds) to escort her back to her apartment, and kiss her. She eventually shows him inside.
Across town, Rafe happily admitted, to Ava (Tamara Braun), that she’d helped him heal his broken heart. The love birds then head to the master bedroom to make love. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
