The Days of our Lives Recaps for May 31-June 4, 2021, featuring Jan (finally!) getting her comeuppance, Kate taking the bull by the horns, Paulina digging herself a deeper hole, and so much more.
D.A. Trask (Tina Huang) succeeded in getting Belle (Martha Madison) to plead guilty to Charlie’s (Mike Manning) murder – only to learn minutes later that Belle had only done so in order to secure her daughter’s release from Jan’s (Heather Lindell) clutches.
Meanwhile, Jan (Heather Lindell) forced Claire (Isabel Durant) and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) to hunker down inside the cabin where Claire attempted to flambé Ciara (Victoria Konefal).
News of Belle’s arrest and imprisonment reach Jan, but she decides that she must eliminate Claire, least the young woman reveals that she’s actually Charlie’s killer. Jan attempts to pass the job onto Chloe, but her efforts are for naught.
So instead, Jan arranges for a fire to be lit by any person attempting to rescue Claire, while she heads back onto the road with Chloe. Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) wound up being the one who sets off the trap, but he succeeds in putting out the flames and untying Claire.
After much prodding from Dr. Snyder (Michael Lowry), Kate (Lauren Koslow) admitted to faking both her blindness and her amnesia. She then blackmailed the medicine man into keeping quiet… Gwen (Emily O’Brien) learned, much to her chagrin, that Snyder expects her to continue couriering drugs for him for the foreseeable future. Xander (Paul Telfer) later rumbles her predicament.
Sami (Alison Sweeney) pressed Nicole (Arianne Zucker) for details about the night she was seen in Xander’s company, Nicole refused to engage. When Sami continued to insinuate that Nicole had been unfaithful, Nicole pointed out that Sami had cheated on her own husband.
Sami denied cheating on E.J., but Nicole reminded her of the time she cheated on Rafe (Galen Gering) with E.J….. Sami accepted a call from E.J., and she questioned his decision to rescind the money transfer. Lucas’s (Bryan Dattilo) sudden arrival resulted in Sami cutting the conversation short. He explained that he’s in need of accommodation – Gabi’s (Camila Banus) has kicked him out of Chez DiMera – but Sami denied him room and board.
Jan phoned Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) and promised to hand Chloe over to him if he’d arrange a private jet to spirit her out of Salem and part with a small fortune. Upon rendezvousing, a violent confrontation broke out amongst the trio, and Chloe wound up taking a bullet to the shoulder, and Jan suffered a blow to the head that once again rendered her comatose.
Paulina (Jackee Harry) returned to Salem and ran into Marlena, whom she remembered being Tamara’s college roommate. The women bonded over their offspring, and Paulina shared her vision for Horton Town Square.
When Marlena departs, Paulina ruminates on the fact that she wasn’t entirely honest about what she had in store… Abe (James Reynolds) is delighted to cross paths with Paulina, and he’s equally thrilled to share with her the news that the city council will be subsidizing the first year’s rent for the square’s business owners… Abe and Paulina are shocked when Chanel (Precious Way) approaches them about opening up a bakery in one of the vacant storefronts.
Nicole headed for Rafe’s abode and quickly deduced that she’d interrupted a fraught moment between him and Ava (Tamara Braun). Ava confirmed that she and Rafe had taken their relationship to the next level, and Nicole confided that the man she slept with was Xander. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
