General Hospital Recaps Highlight

At Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) urging, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) collected Louise, and then left Maxie and an injured Austin (Roger Howarth) to be rescued by the proper authorities.

After being admitted to GH, Maxie told Peter (Wes Ramsey) that their baby had been abducted by the nurse he’d hired to care for them. In his grief and panic, Peter let slip a number of the lies that he’d been telling Maxie, and he wound up fulling confessing to, amongst a litany of other crimes, murdering the actual nurse that Maxie wished to hire and having Drew Cain killed.

Maxie revealed that she’d recorded his entire confession, then she sent it to Mac (Tristan Rogers). Peter fled to the hospital roof where he anticipated being met by a chartered helicopter.

Finn (Michael Easton) confronted him and demanded the antidote to the poison slowly killing Chase (Josh Swickard). Rather than hand it over, Peter deliberately smashed the vial.

Peter then bolted for the exit, but a pursuing Finn grabbed him and sent him hurtling down the flight of stairs. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) chanced upon the scene, and neither she nor Finn could find a pulse!

A Captive Audience

Following an embarrassing encounter with Curtis (Donnell Turner), Portia (Brook Kerr) returned home only to discover that an armed, and grievously injured Cyrus (Jeff Kober) had let himself inside. Trina’s (Sydney Mikayla) inopportune return provided Cyrus with yet another hostage, and Portia with the added incentive to properly treat Cyrus’s wound.

Cyrus’s brief foray into unconsciousness provided the women the opportunity to reach out for help, but Curtis wound up reaching out and quickly deduced that something was amiss.

He and Laura (Genie Francis) assessed the situation, then summoned backup from the PCPD. Laura’s offer to substitute herself for Trina and Portia was accepted by Cyrus, and while she set about trying to convince her brother to surrender to the authorities, Curtis snuck into the house through an unlocked window.

The siege concluded with Curtis taking a bullet courtesy of Cyrus, and Cyrus being fired upon by Jordan. While Cyrus’s injuries were easily treatable, Portia warned that Curtis’s necessitated complex and risky surgery.

Port Charles Roundup

Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) awoke from her comma, and happily gave an official statement that cleared Jason’s (Steve Burton) name and put Peter in the frame for Franco’s (Roger Howarth) murder… A voyeur spied on Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael’s (Chad Duell) lovemaking… Brook Lynn presented “her” baby to Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero).

A Type of Freedom

Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Liesl (Kathleen Gati) reunited in Canada, and the former revealed that she slept with Jason (Steve Burton) and that she does indeed have the genetic marker for Huntington’s Disease… Jason phoned Britt and informed her that with Cyrus in custody, it was safe to return home.
