The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, September 28, 2021, features Gwen Rizczech and Xander Cook reaching out for some assistance, Brady Black getting a clue, Philip Kiriakis deciding to fight fire with fire, and EJ DiMera reading his favorite ex-wife like a dime-store novel.
Even if she has to devote the rest of her life to the cause, Gwen (Emily O’Brien) is going to see to it that Xander (Paul Telfer) is freed from his predicament – which he really, really appreciates, seeing as how he’s in said predicament because of his affection for her…and her dad, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), but that’s a different story.
The duo thinks that they’re home free when Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) comes a-calling, but he’s merely on the lookout for Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans), his client, and fiancée; he could care less about Xander.
But wait! Turns out that the trio might be able to help each other out. The judge overseeing Bonn-Bonn’s case just so happens to be a corrupt so-and-so, who’s deep in EJ’s (Dan Feuerriegel) pocket – wouldn’t it be great if they all worked together to expose him…or, at the very least, use his corruption against him? That way Xander and Bonnie can (fingers crossed) walk away scot-free. In the end, Justin doesn’t say yes…but he doesn’t say no either.
Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) swung by Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) abode and not at all suspiciously inquired about his talk with Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). Brady, having apparently grown in wisdom over the past few months, smelled a rat, and Jake did his best to cover; bonus: Jake managed to overhear a telling phone conversation between Brady and Victor concerning the latter’s plan to have the former seduce Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) away from Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson).
Opposite this, Philip delighted Chloe with some beautiful roses, and another apology for being so mean to Brady; both of them agree that Jake and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) are far more likely to be the spy than Philip’s nephew.
In that event, Philip decided to try and steal GabiChic out from under Gabi. Wonder if Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) would want in on that?
If EJ is anything, it’s observant; so, it didn’t take him long to deduce that Nicole Walker Brady (Arianne Zucker) had a big ole crush on Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). She can do loads better, EJ proffers.
