Days of our Lives recap for Monday, December 16, 2019, features several storylines taking startling turns, including a tearful Will and Sonny moment.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

Kate (Lauren Koslow) was in for an awkward moment when Evan (Brock Kelly) showed up at the bar. He was there to apologize and explain himself. Yes, he likes Sonny and he’s not going to end their friendship (or budding romance) on her command.

Will To Sonny: I Want A Divorce

As it turns out, Evan may get a legit shot at love. Over at the prison, Will (Chandler Massey) put his heart on his sleeve and laid all the cards not the table. He decided to end his marriage.

Sonny tried to fight him but Will’s mind was made up. They’ll never have their old life back and it’s time to stop dreaming of better days. Will is in jail, Sonny is out, and Adrienne’s death will always be a source of pain between them.

And The Evidence Points To…

Eve (Kassie DePaiva) was proven innocent but the truth still didn’t come out. The doctored footage was doctored again and showed Rolf (William Utay) as the culprit. Princess Gina was able to breathe a sigh of relief.

It seems SteVano (Stephen Nichols) worked his magic on the forensic investigator. He worked for DiMera, after all. So, “Hope” (Kristian Alfonso) was in the clear, Rolf was on the run never to be found, and all the secrets are safe. Or are they?

What’s Going On Here?

Hope’s odd behavior was all Rafe (Galen Gearing) could talk about. He started asking around to see if others saw what he was seeing in her. It was a consensus Hope was not herself and Rafe decided to get to the bottom of that mess.

Snitches Get Stitches

Tensions rose between Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Clyde (James Read). The bad dad put his son on notice and warned him Will’s days were numbered. Clyde also gave his son some shady advice — the way to get out of prison isn’t through the legal system, son. It’s time to get creative (wink, wink).

A Bucket Of Red Flags

The walls closed in on Ciara (Victoria Konefal) when Xander (Paul Telfer) called her out. He nailed the whole story and took her step by step through her secret plot. Thankfully, she was fast on her feet and turned the tables.

She shot down his accusations and got him off her back. It worked, at least for now. However, Xander was now on alert and Ciara’s snooping days were over. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
