The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, September 9, 2020 features Ciara’s kidnapping taking a deadly turn, Claire apologizing for her past, and Gwen realizing she has to act fast.
Ciara’s (Victoria Konefal) dramatic kidnapping took several shocking turns. The injection she gave Vincent (Michael Teh) caused him to hallucinate that she was Wendy. He fought her into the car and planned to whisk her away. Ciara realized what was going on and played the role. It worked for a while, but he eventually came to his senses.
Hope (Kristian Alfonso), Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), and Shawn (Brandon Barash) put all the clues together. Vincent was out to avenge Wendy’s death. The cops rushed to Wendy’s house, but they were too late. They surmise he has Wendy’s car and tracked it down.
They caught up with the mad scientist at the airstrip. They coerced Vincent out of the car but the vehicle blew up before they set eyes on Ciara.
Meanwhile, Claire (Isabel Durant) tried to make amends with Tripp (Lucas Adams). She apologized for the past, promised to do better in the future, and even cried over her transgressions. Tripp was patient and kind but kept his guard up. They agreed to be friends and Claire went to check-in at the station.
Over at the DiMera mansion, Abigail (Marci Miller) was in for a few shockers as well. First, she’s not buying Gabi was the one behind her drugging (she’s right). Second, she finally got to meet Jake (Brandon Barash). Then, Jake told her all about what was really going on behind closed doors.
Abby confronted her husband about the salacious kiss. Chad admitted it happened, but told her the real truth. Gwen kissed him, not the other way around. Abigail agreed to trust Chad’s version, at least for now.
As for Gwen (Emily O’Brien), she got quite the start when Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) recognized her. Gwen tried to pass it off as being there with Chad recently, but Julie knew it was more than that. She was here before, quite a while ago.
The encounter prompted Gwen to quickly return home to get the job done. She grabbed the vial of poison. It was time for another dose. Unfortunately, Jake interrupted her. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
