The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, September 9, 2020, continues to spin around Adam as the many women in his life all have different plans for his future. Plus, Lily wants to see some diversity in Genoa City, while Abby says, “Show me the money!”

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Sharon (Sharon Case) is in the middle of a crisis. Her surgery failed to get rid of her cancer, and now her doctor is saying a mastectomy is the best course of action. She is terrified of losing her breasts, her life, her sense of self.

But, in the end, after thanking Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) for his support, Sharon bravely pulls herself together and resolves to do anything she needs to… to help Adam (Mark Grossman). Let’s not forget who the most suffering person in Genoa City is!

Too Far Gone

Speaking of Adam – and who isn’t? – Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) begs Alyssa not to write her expose. Alyssa is furious that Adam killed her dad, then tried to use her to make it look like Victor (Eric Braeden) did it.

Chelsea pulls out the old, “But Adam was an itty bitty wittle boy” defense, and the “but he is the bestest man ever now!” addendum. Alyssa isn’t buying. She’s going ahead with her story. And when Chance (Danny Boaz) shows up, that just makes her more determined.

And the Rest

Meanwhile, in non-Adam news, Lily (Christel Khalil) left Wisconsin long enough to find out that there are different types of people in America, and she’d like some of that diversity represented at the Chancellor offices.

Abby (Melissa Ordway) waited for Phyllis to put her money where her mouth is and actually lay out the cash to buy her share of The Grand Phoenix, and Summer (Hunter King) builds her dream house. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
