Days of our Lives Recap: Uh Oh – Gwen’s Condition May Derail Truce

The Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, April 8, 2021, features Gwen and Abigail’s cease-fire ending before it properly begins, disappointing news for Rafe and Kate, and Nicole attempting to get Allie to do her dirty work for her.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlight

Gwen (Emily O’Brien) seemed properly contrite while delivering her apology to Abigail (Marci Miller), but Mrs. Deveraux didn’t seem to return the sentiment…much to Jack’s (Matthew Ashford) chagrin.

After much prodding, Abby agreed to call a truce – but only if Gwen would look her in the face and promise that Laura’s (Jaime Lyn Bauer) death had been an accident. Gwen, in response, threw up all over her sister’s legs! Ten points for accuracy and 10 for distance hurled!

Abby stalked off in disgusted anger, and Gwen admitted to Papa that her spew might be pregnancy-related. No points for deducing that Chad (Billy Flynn) is the baby daddy.

Coming Clean

After being backed into a corner by Gabi (Camila Banus), Ava (Tamara Braun) finally told Rafe (Galen Gering) about the visit she paid Charlie (Mike Manning) the night he died.

What do you think? Post a comment!

Rafe was positively sympathetic, but he warned his houseguest that he suspected she still wasn’t being totally honest. Ava hemmed and hawed and insisted that there wasn’t anything left to tell. Honestly. Truthfully. Tripp?! Who said Tripp?! I certainly didn’t see Tripp fleeing the crime scene!

Curses, Foiled Again

Kate Roberts’ (Lauren Koslow) day continued to go from bad to worse. Not only did her dinner with Allie (Lindsay Arnold) and Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) end with the former running away, but she then had to deal with a gatecrashing Gabi.

And to top it all off, Jake (Brandon Barash) arrived with the news that Paulina (Jackée Harry) had successfully snatched the former GabiChic building right out from under them.

Outsourcing

Nicole (Arianne Zucker) wasn’t too happy with being emotionally blackmailed to get quiet about Tripp’s (Lucas Adams) possible involvement in Charlie’s death. Damn that Ava and her motherly instinct to protect her young!

Luckily, Allie confided her suspicions that Tripp may have fired the bullet that rid the world of her rapist. Now, Nicole has the perfect patsy to out Tripp’s secret. Hands firmly clean! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
