The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, July 2 featured a day of hot tempers, deadly situations, and a budding romance. Ciara was rescued, Claire was caught, and Jack had some explaining to do!
You Die, I Die
Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) continued her murder mission and dumped more gasoline all over Ciara (Victoria Konefal) and the bed. Ciara begged for her life and pleaded with Claire to put the lighter down but it was not enough. Thankfully, help was right outside.
Ben, Marlena, and Hope (Kristen Alfonso) got there but the door is locked. Ben broke down the door and they saw Claire holding the lighter. Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Hope tried but it was Marlena (Deidre Hall) who saved Ciara. Then she had to save Claire too.
Claire realized the gravity of what she did. She did bad things and people may never forgive her. She grabbed the lighter, sat on the bed, and begged Marlena to leave so she could die. Of course, Marlena did not go. She talked her granddaughter off that ledge in the knick of time.
A Father’s Nightmare
Poor Shawn got the shock of his life when he went to visit Claire and found a pool of blood instead. He picked up his phone to call the cops but Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) rung him up instead. She asked him to come to the hospital. Once there, he learned the entire ugly truth.
At first, Shawn was furious with Tripp for putting his daughter through hell but then reality hit. His daughter was very sick and needed serious help.
Will You Stay?
Meanwhile, Eve (Kassie DePaiva) called Jack (Mattew Ashford) out on his secrets, lies, and various fibs. She began with him letting JJ (Casey Moss) off the hook but then dropped the bomb about knowing he had the diary.

Jack assured her that reclaiming his past is about remembering his children and nothing else. He loves his life with her and vowed to put their marriage first, no matter what!.
I Love You
Speaking of JJ, he and Haley (Thia Megia) made love but worried about how long their happiness would last. It will not be pretty when Jack finds out Haley is back and there is nothing he can do about it.
Is There An Us?
Carrie (Christie Clark) and Rafe (Galen Gearing) ran into each other in the pub and bonded over legal advice and broken hearts. Chit chat led to flirting, which then led to a hot and heavy kiss. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
