The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, October 20, 2020, features a night of doom and gloom as Orpheus plunged Salem into darkness.
Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) mulled over the gun and finally decided to murder Vincent. Marlena (Deidre Hall) thwarted his plan by showing up at exactly the right moment. She and Ben talked and she left thinking he was cooled down.
Once home, Marlena promised John (Drake Hogestyn) all her attention. He deserved it, after all. This was supposed to be a night all about them.
Gwen (Emily O’Brien) was also out for revenge. Jake (Brandon Barash) tried to pry into her evil plans but she shut him down and acted innocent. He saw right through her but he had no concrete proof to call her out.
Upstairs, Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abigail (Marci Miller) had it out about Jake. She wanted him to be treated as part of the family. Chad did not, especially after the scene at the garage.
Meanwhile, Clyde (James Read) and Orpheus (George DelHoyo) went from being mortal enemies to best friends. Orpheus had a plan to go on the lamb and offered Clyde and spot on his team. The two joined forces just as the power went out all over Salem.
It did not take long for Jennifer (now played by Cady McClain) to figure out what the outage was about. She tracked it right back to the jail and told Jack (Matthew Ashford).
Alone, in the dark, Ben envisioned Ciara (Victoria Konefal). She begged Ben to stay strong and not go off into a murderous rage. Have faith, Ben. You’re not alone. How right she was. Ben opened his door and founds his dad standing on the other side.
Over at the townhouse, Marlena sent John to bed. A move she would regret. While she maneuvered through the house with her flashlight she was stunned to find Orpheus sitting in her living room.
Gwen and Jake were on edge as they heard noises coming from the walls. Jake figured it was rats scurrying around the not-so-secret tunnels. They ran upstairs before the vermin could get them. As it turns out, it was Rolf (William Utay). He snuck into the mansion. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
