The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, September 20, 2021, features The Devil revealing to Marlena Evans Black that he’s come to Salem to steal back her soul…but Doug Williams’s will do nicely if she’s too put out.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
Try as she might, Marlena (Deidre Hall) just couldn’t come up with a plausible explanation as to how Doug (Bill Hayes) knew all about her stint as The Desecrator, and Satan’s favorite hostess – he wasn’t even in Salem during that time period (and the newspapers certainly didn’t print all that inside information he *ahem* possessed).
Still, and call her skeptical if you must, Marlena wanted some proof that her former tormentor was indeed ensconced inside sweet, loveable Doug. So, Devil Doug killed the lights with a point of his finger and showed off those sweet, sweet jaundiced eyes.
Finally convinced, Marlena attempted to browbeat the beast out of friend; but it’s just not that simple. However, Devil Doug had a proposition: let him possess her, and he’d leave Doug be. Cut to Julie “I Can Feel That Something Isn’t Right” Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and her trusty rosary bursting into the room, and finding her beloved splayed out on the floor. “Marlena, what happened?!”
DAYS Recap: A Remembrance of Romance Past
First a roundup of the ghosts of Kate Robert’s (Lauren Koslow) romantic past; there was Andre DiMera, his papa, Stefano, and Ted Laurent, (and a number of creeps who didn’t warrant a mention, like Clyde Weston, Nicholas Alamain, and Ian McCallister).
So, why is she so reluctant to give good ole Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) another chance? They were pretty good together for those few months before he was supposedly felled by a samurai sword. Alas, she’s not prepared for more heartache. Luckily, Roman’s not about to give up so easily.
DOOL Recap: Flashback Fracas
If there’s one thing that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) can agree on, it’s that they don’t want to ever have to relive the Christmas 1994 to Halloween 1995 time period ever again. Sure, there was a happy ending – but at what cost?
Too bad Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) is still gung ho about bringing The Sami Brady Story to life – with emphasis on her mother’s Dance With The Devil. But before he can do just that, he needs more deets. Enter Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), researcher extraordinaire.
