Days of our Lives Recap: The Devil Forces Marlena To Levitate Again

The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, October 12, 2021, features Dr. Marlena Evans Black battling Satan – and gravity, Ciara Brady Weston getting her way, and EJ DiMera playing very, very dirty.

In a show that the ultimate evil can be in two places at once, Lucifer not only spent his night verbally harassing Marlena (Deidre Hall) but also peeping in on Ciara and Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) baby-making efforts; whether the gust of wind that blew through the couple’s apartment was a congratulations or an indictment remains to be seen.

What isn’t up for debate, however, is how strong a hold the Devil has on his favorite Salemite. In a show of power, he forced poor Marlena off her bed and into the air – and all the while, poor blissfully unaware John Black (Drake Hogestyn) toiled in the kitchen preparing his beloved some chamomile tea. Tea will not be a help for this particular problem.

Remember when Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) was all gung-ho to stop Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) movie-making in its tracks? Well, now she’s giving serious consideration to starring in said film…as her former lover’s granny. It is as weird as it sounds.

But not as weird as EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) agreeing to plug the hole in Johnny’s financing – thanks for going back on your word Roman Brady (Josh Taylor)! – on the stringent condition that he be cast in the role of FATHER (as in Catholic priest) John Black.

Perhaps in the Devil’s absence, Hell truly has frozen over…or EJ just really wants to stick it to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), who dared to support Johnny’s dream – the monster, by doing kissing scenes with his wife!
