Days of our Lives Recap: The Battle for Baby Horton Begins

Published by

The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, August 17, 2020 features Sami doing the unthinkable, Nicole and Eric gearing up for war, and Allie’s family members picking sides. The baby doesn’t even have a name but he’s already a key player in a Royale Rumble storyline.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

Sami (Alison Sweeney) proved Allie right by not caring about her wishes in every way possible. She left her messages with baby updates, sent her pics of her son, and then did the most unbelievable thing. She hired Belle to get a warrant to stop Nicole and Eric from taking the baby.

Demands Were Made, Questions Were Asked

Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) was horrified when Sami told him what she did. However, he came around to her side too. He agreed to back Sami in the custody battle provided she agrees to not leave Salem. What about Eli? What about her other kids? Sami had a choice to make and she chose Allie’s baby.

Kate (Laura Koslow) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) weren’t thrilled by Allie’s choice but hearing what Sami did threw them for a loop also. As did Sami’s next big move. She asked to move into the apartment with baby, indefinitely. Marlena reluctantly agreed but she was clear she wasn’t happy about it.

The Fight Began

As for Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker), they were heartbroken and furious. They were ready to give Allie’s baby a safe and secure home only to have it all fall apart because of Sami. They decided to fight back and hired Justin (Wally Kurth) as their legal eagle. He agreed to take on the case.

Bonnie Flirted

This wasn’t the only case Justin was working on. His other client showed up as well. Bonnie (Judi Evans) came over just for an update. She was there to give her lawyer a gift. Who doesn’t need a cowboy hat in Salem?

Victor was less than thrilled to have Bonnie in his house and told Justin so. However, the lawyer stood his ground. She was a client and visiting on business and that was that. Like it or lump it, Vic.

Xander’s Life Was Looking Up

Speaking of Victor, he was back from his vacation with Maggie and had business to tend to as well. Namely, dealing with Xander and the CEO spot at Titan. Xander (Paul Telfer) was on cloud nine to have his uncle back and after a romantic afternoon with Sarah, he headed to the mansion for an update. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
