The Days of Our Lives recap for Wednesday, January 29, 2020, features several bombs dropping and lives going off the rails. Secrets started coming out as the truth bubbled to the surface.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

Shawn (Brandon Beemer) agreed something was off with “Hope.” In fact, he didn’t think Hope (Kristian Alfonso) was even Hope. He was sure that woman was Princess Gina. Rafe (Galen Gering) was floored when he realized Shawn was probably right. They plotted to expose the truth but it would not be easy. They decided to use Shawn as bait to bring Hope back to herself.

More Evil Threats

Just across the hall, Kate (Lauren Koslow) got an earful when Gina revealed their hot plots. SteVano will “kill” John, she’ll “kill” Marlena and they would then fall in love with them. Kate was horrified. Gina made sure Kate kept this all to herself by threatening to off her for real. If Kate helps she will be rewarded. If not, Kate will end up taking a dirt nap.

By the time Shawn and Rafe were ready to confront Gina she was already out and about ready to complete her mission.

Marlena Revealed All

Speaking of Marlena, she was at the hospital talking to Kayla’s (Mary Beth Evans). Marlena admitted Steve lied about being in love with another woman. The revelation shook up Kayla. Marlena asked if that changed anything for her and Justin (Wally Kurth). Kayla wasn’t sure.

Kristen Kept Mum About Her Father

Meanwhile, Chad (Billy Flynn) paid his sister a visit and drilled her about seeing their father. He wanted all the details. Kristen admitted she saw their dad and dropped more than one hint that he wasn’t exactly the same as he used to be.

SteVano Almost Blew His Cover

Over in Prague, SteVano (Stephen Nichols) had trouble keeping his temper in check as Anna (Leann Hunley) went off about her monster father-in-law. Thankfully, John was able to get “Steve” under control and SteVano snapped out of it. He stopped himself from blowing his cover before it was too late.

However, the whole scene planted a seed of doubt in John. John decided to start investigating Steve. Big mistake. He broke into his room and found Stefano’s ring at the exact moment SteVano was opening the door. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
