Days of our Lives Recap: SteVano and Gina Went On the Attack

The Days of Our Lives recap for January 30, 2020, features the SteVano saga exploding as severe players went off the rails. Gina took control, SteVano went ballistic, and Kate spilled all!

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

Things went off the rails in Prague when SteVano (Stephen Nichols) struggled to maintain his cover.

He made a semi-convincing argument about having the ring but knew it was time to get rid of John (Drake Hogestyn). He arranged to meet with Rolf (William Utay) to take care of John once and for all.

The scene took several shocking turns. SteVano pretended to confront Rolf, Rolf shot “Steve,” and John jumped to his bestie’s defense. Only, it was all as set up. SteVano wasn’t injured and knocked John out.

It was the perfect plan, SteVano said. John would soon come to, thinking his friend was dead leaving him even more vulnerable than ever before.

Gina Kidnapped Marlena

Things weren’t much better back in Salem. Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Rafe (Galen Gering) tried to chase down Gina and even brought Roman (Josh Taylor) into the fold but she kept one step ahead.

While they were searching through her office, she was already at the apartment with Marlena (Deidre Hall). She tried to convince the doc to go to a “safe house” but Marlena suspected something wasn’t right. To make things worse, Rafe and Shawn called and left a message warning her about Princess Gina.

Once the truth was out Gina jumped into action. She pulled a gun on her rival and forced her to go on the run. By the time the men got to the apartment to check on Marlena, the women were long gone. Gina had Marlena stowed away in the warehouse and sitting on the throne.

Kate Dropped A Bomb

Drama also unfolded at the Brady pub. Kate (Lauren Koslow) knew something was going down and the guilt was eating away at her. Kate snapped at Chad, had it out with customers, and all but fell apart.

She ended up telling all to a very shocked Hattie. She told the truth about SteVano and Princess Gina and confessed to being worried things were going off the rails.

A Fresh Start?

Meanwhile, Chad (Billy Flynn) wondered what Kate was hiding and wondered why there were so many secrets. However, he had bigger things on his plate.

He took Abigail to the gatehouse and suggested they move out of the mansion and into there instead, at least for now. Sure, it’s small but it sure is cozy. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
