The Days of Our Lives recap for February 24-28, 2020, features a canvas full of characters figuring out the hard way exactly where assuming a fact gets them.

Days of Our Lives Recap Highlights

According to the late, great Bo Brady, “Assumptions are the mother of all mistakes.” And their sure are an awful lot of Salemites guilty of making assumptions.

Victor (John Aniston) and Xander (Paul Telfer) assumed that Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) would never remember the part she played in Adrienne’s (Judi Evans) passing.

Will (Chandler Massey) assumed that it was his careless driving that had caused the accident that robbed him of a cherished mother-in-law.

Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Rafe (Galen Gering) assumed that Evan (Brock Kelly) was an upstanding member of society — heck they even assumed that Evan was his actual name and Rafe assumed that the manny would handle his firing with aplomb.

Assumptions Everywhere

Everyone assumed Steve (Stephen Nichols) was a callous jerk who shirked the responsibilities of husband and father unaware that his skin suit was being borrowed by Stefano — who assumed that it would be easy peasy to extort $10 million from Victor and force Justin (Wally Kurth) to produce Marlena (Diedre Hall)

Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Eric (Greg Vaughan) assumed that Gabi (Camila Banus), aka,  the woman whose bone marrow was a “perfect” match for Baby Mickey, would simply hand over her life-saving fluid free of charge.

What do you think? Post a comment!

Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani (Sal Stowers) assumed that they would never be able to reunite and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) assumed that her would-be assassin would soon be learning that “payback is as much a bitch as she is.”

If the implication isn’t crystal clear, let’s make it so: They all assumed WRONG. The truth will always out, criminals don’t like being told no. When backed into a corner, they sometimes prosper. Plus, miracles certainly don’t come cheap or easy and justice is sometimes deaf and mute, as well as blind.

DAYS Musings

Xander: “It’s not like Will’s an innocent in all of this. He was texting and driving.” Fair point well made.

Sonny to Maggie: “And you! How could you be this irresponsible when you lost a son to a drunk driver? Did you think of Daniel for one minute before you got drunk and got behind the wheel?!” No, she didn’t. Sonny Kiriakis, here endeth your lesson in irony.

SteVano: “Better to look forward. Keep your eyes on the prize.” Gabi: “It’s kind of funny that you say that, considering that Steve Johnson had one good eye.” Ha! Even when placed in a perilous situation, Gabi manages to bring the humor.

Eli: “Julie can give you a long list of the things that Gabi’s done. I mean, she murdered my cousin Nick…” Funny how everyone, ESPECIALLY sexual assault survivor Julie forgets to add that Nick was a blackmailing, attempted rapist who got what was coming to him.

Justin: “Steve…you need to fight. You need to remember who you are. You had a mother. Her name was Jo.” Whelp, it appears that last week’s inquiry into the status of Jo has been definitively answered. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
