The Days of Our Lives recap for November 9-13, 2020, features love making the populace of Salem go crazy…or at least crazier than usual.
Days of Our Lives Recap Highlights
The thought of losing the woman they love can make even the most sane men do crazy things. Like hide the fact that they had a one-night stand while their beloved wife was in a year-long coma. We’re looking at you here, Jack (Matthew Ashford).
Or emotionally blackmail their wife’s best friend into take her punishment like a big girl and then keeping mum about their actions. That’s all on you Eli (Lamon Archey).
Turn About Is Fair Play
But love can also make the women folk just as crazed. Look no further than the recently-resurrected Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). She was willing to kill in order to keep Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), her one-eyed wonder, firmly in hand. And now that she’s back in town, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) had better watch her back.
Likewise, Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) is out to gain Shawn’s (Brandon Beemer) affection no matter what the cost. She’d prefer not to re-cage him – giant, man-size cages are so expensive – but since he’s preparing to remarry Belle (Martha Madison), Jan might not have much of a choice.
DAYS Musings
Are you happy to see Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) about-face where Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) is concerned? And how cute are she and sleuthing buddy Xander (Paul Telfer)? Maybe if they can successfully uncover the identity of Philip’s no-so-silent partner – pssst, it’s Ava! – it’ll convince them to take up mystery-solving as a full time occupation.
Kate: “I’m fine. Come through worse evenings than this without a scratch.” Like the time that Laura Horton publicly revealed that you’d had an affair with her husband, Bill, and given birth to his illegitimate baby?
Kate: “You know, Jack, I wanted to remind you that Lucas was in a coma for a scary amount of time…[he] did come back, and I know it’s him because he still drives me crazy.” That coma was brought on by smoke inhalation and tumble down the staircase at the Kiriakis mansion…and the fire Lucas was trying to escape had been set by none other than mommy dearest herself. How else was she suppose to cover up the fact she had bludgeoned Victor (John Aniston) to near death with a fire place poker?
Jennifer: “My father…had an affair with Kate too. It destroyed my mother. It ripped my family apart.” Actually, in point of fact, it was Laura’s struggle with mental illness and her resulting actions – such as putting young Jennifer on a bus out of town and attempting to hang herself – that led to the eventual end of Laura and Bill’s marriage.
But we wont dispute the fact that Kate and Bill’s affair didn’t add to Laura’s suffering. It most certainly did. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
