The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, February 26, 2021, focus on the aftermath of Charlie’s murder. Rafe pulls in his first suspect but she certainly isn’t his only one.
Charlie’s (Mike Manning) body was barely cold and Rafe (Galen Gering) was already hauling a suspect to the station. He arrested Sami (Alison Sweeney) on the spot. How could he not? She was there with the body and cleaning off her prints. It was as cut and dry as a case could get.
Sami did not admit to anything, though. She proclaimed her innocence as loudly as she could. However, her flashbacks showed her holding a gun and standing over Charlie’s body.
Eli (Lamon Archey) showed up at Rafe’s place and to deliver the bad news and question Ava (Tamara Braun). She had just finished opening up to Tripp (Lucas Adams) about her failures as Charlie’s mother. They were stunned.
Tripp had an air-tight alibi. He was at Ava’s apartment with two cops at the door. Ava’s story also seemed to clear her name. Staying at the Commissioner’s house was as good as it gets. Eli had no reason to doubt either of them.
Eli’s next stop was to see Claire. He informed her of Charlie’s death. She flashed back to Allie’s threats and clammed up. She did not throw Allie under the bus.
At the apartment, Allie (Lindsay Arnold) told Nicole (Arianne Zucker) she was finally over her traumatic past with Charlie. It is like he never existed, she said. Nicole was not convinced. However, that changed when Rafe showed up and announced Charlie was gone forever
Meanwhile, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) did her best to be Susan. It was smooth sailing until Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Claire (Isabel Durant) showed up. Her attempt at pretending to be a medium was nothing like Susan’s ritual. Thankfully, they just passed it off as her being a quirky character.
The real Susan was having a rough time keeping herself together. Not only was there no sundae bar (oh, the humanity!) but Lani (Sal Stowers) showed up. Lani noticed Kristen was no quite herself. Lani powered through, though, and switched up to baby talk. Unfortunately, the chatter caused Susan to slip. Her real accent faded in and she talked about her own kiddo being in Italy. Whoops.
