Days of our Lives Recap: Rafe Angers Ava When He Puts Nicole First

The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, August 17, 2021, features Nicole Walker Brady, Ava Vitali, and EJ DiMera throwing themselves pitiful pity parties, and Lani Grant (finally) deciding to be the bigger woman.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlight

When your bestie is down and out following the end of her marriage, make her day by dropping by and sharing with her a stuffed teddy. It worked wonders for Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), and it got Nicole (Arianne Zucker) up and onto her feet.

However, Rafe’s little excursion also served to put a little distance between him and an uber jealous Ava (Tamara Braun), who expected her man home for dinner. Note to Rafe: It’s not wise to anger a former mob princess!

DAYS Recap: Marital Maelstrom

A despondent EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) confided in Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) that his and Sami Brady DiMera’s (Alison Sweeney) marriage was over. Opposite this, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) scarred daughter Allie (Lindsay Arnold) for life by revealing that he and Sami had sex – again!

DOOL Recap: Mama Drama

The truth about Lani’s (Sal Stowers) maternity was made painfully clear – she’s the product of Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) abusive relationship with a man named Ray. And while Paulina and mama Olivia (Marla Gibbs) rehashed the past, Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) was busy convincing Lani that she needed to forgive Paulina of all her past mistakes.

So, off to her auntie’s Lani went; she offered Paulina an olive branch, and all she asked for in return was honesty and truth…which is going to be a big ole problem for Paulina.
