Days Of Our Lives Recap: New Identities Are Thwarted

The Days of Our Lives recap for December 2-6, 2019, features Eric suffering from a case of the “Me and Mine’s,” baby Mickey suffering from what appears to be a touch of flu and Ben getting hit with a dose of the Big House Blues.

Days of Our Lives Recap Highlights

Eric (Greg Vaughan), the man-slaughtering priest (bye Daniel!), is VERY disappointed in Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) over their sin of omission which kept him from his daughter for an entire six months.

To make up for lost time — and to prove that forgiveness is a virtue that he possesses little of — Eric sheds himself of Nicole and shouts to Brady (Eric Martsolf) that not only will he never forgive her but he will never get back together with her.

Then, he contacts Sarah and makes a big ol’ threat — dump Xander (Paul Telfer). Either kicks him out of his family’s house or move herself and the baby out and have zero contact him or he will sue for full custody.

And, honestly, it is a toss-up for which parent would come out victorious. Yes, Eric did kill Daniel. But Sarah lied about her situation for most of the year, kept father and daughter out of each other’s orbit, and spent all those months cozying up to the man who murdered Jordan Ridgeway.

Well, to be fair, we don’t know for absolute sure that it was Xander who throttled the life out of Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) sister. But, we do know that he and Victor (John Aniston) did SOMETHING shady and they both conspired to make sure that innocent Mr. Weston was imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit.

Prisoner, Cell Block D

Speaking of Ben, he spent the majority of the week in the prison’s infirmary after getting shanked by his good for nothing dad, who had been trying to introduce the blade to Will’s (Chandler Massey) ribcage. At least the incident made the two young men even. Kinda.

Appearances

Another character found themselves hospitalized and in their case, it was thanks to an eagle-eyed Marlena (Deidre Hall) who took one look at baby Mickey and knew something was very wrong. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) was sure that it was just a virus but the doctor has been 0 for 2 here lately so Sarah better get a second opinion stat!

Kristen And Lani: Getting In the Habit

Once upon a time, there were two female Salemites who decided that the outside world was too cruel and unforgiving a place so they made the journey to Italy — Rome to be more specific — and begged the local nunnery to give them sanctuary.

Fast forward a few months and now Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Lani (Sal Stowers) are preparing to take their final vows – the ones which will officially usher them into the sisterhood.

What do you think? Post a comment!

But first, they must shed themselves of all their earthly possessions (so long Kristen’s shares in DiMera Enterprises) and say goodbye to their loved ones forever.

During the phone call with her dad, Lani gave assurances that she was in a good place — both spiritually and emotionally — and revealed that she was committed to someone else (though she conveniently left out that the someone was the Lord Almighty).

When the squabbling Gabi (Camila Banus) and Chad (Billy Flynn) learned of Kristen’s plan to donate her DiMera shares to the convent they each made plans to ensure that they would be the ones to talk her round.

Gabi proved the victor when she got Eli (Lamon Archey) on the company jet and barred Chad from flying off with her man. But it’s bad news for Kristen because JJ (Casey Moss) has stowed away on the jet, stolen …continue reading on the next page —>

Gabi proved the victor when she got Eli (Lamon Archey) on the company jet and barred Chad from flying off with her man. But it’s bad news for Kristen because JJ (Casey Moss) has stowed away on the jet, stolen Eli’s gun, and has a plan to avenge his girlfriend’s death by killing Kristen. And almost as soon as Eli got to Rome, he found Lani. Amazing.

Gifts

Leave it to Stefano — SteVano? (Stephen Nichols) — to cause so much upheaval with a simple bouquet of flowers. While John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena wracked their brains trying to figure out who sent the arrangement the Phoenix took time out to complain that he was now trapped inside the body of one of his greatest foes.

So it’s up to Princess Gina to point out that, “You could have done much, much worse.” At least Rolf was able to provide Stefano with a perfectly workable synthetic eye and he didn’t have to run around with the eye patch.

Also, Stefano really hates people who look to the covering as inspiration for their nickname. How will ‘his’ children, Chad and Kristen, feel about this? Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
