Days of our Lives fans are still getting used to the reveal that Stefano’s essence now resides in Steve’s body… we think. (Unless Stefano had plastic surgery to look like Steve. Which is even weirder.)
But those are details. What we really want to know is who will this hybrid SteVano romance first? Suggestions from over 6,000 fans:
Revisit the Classics
There is no one for Steve (Stephen Nichols) — in any form — except for Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), according to 56% of you. He may start as part of an evil ploy — does Stefano do any other kind? But, in the end, her true love will bring the real Steve back. Which is the only reason for sitting through any of this.
Greeting Gina
Since the only person ‘Steffy’ currently knows — and interacts with — in Salem is Gina (Kristian Alfonso), proximity suggests they’ll soon be more than friendly, believe 22% of the audience. Imagine how Salem will react to the idea of “Hope” and “Steve.” And at least it will get Gina out of John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) orbit.

Nicole Needs
Days of our Lives were scraping almost the bottom of the barrel when 7% opted for Nicole. Then again, she’s single again — or almost. And she does like her men rich and powerful. Nicole will want to stick it to the Brady family after Eric’s (Greg Vaughan) dumping her… and stealing “Steve” away from Kayla will do… till something better comes along.
Target Practice
Only 6% opted for Marlena, even after Stefano announced his Queen of the Night was the ultimate target. And there’s a symmetry to it. Stefano wants Marlena, Gina wants John… Divide and conquer. Everybody gets what they want, and Salem is thrown in turmoil. Sounds like a win-win to us!
