Days of our Lives Recap: Marlena Helps Ben and Ciara Finally Remarry

The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, August 20, 2021, features Ben Weston and Ciara Brady pledging their troth to one another, Nicole Walker Brady having to deal with divorce papers and a persnickety EJ DiMera, and siblings Johnny DiMera and Allie Horton playing catch up.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlight

Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) had an absolutely perfect idea: he and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) should get married, right then, right now. Perhaps it was because the mood was so light thanks to Ciara and Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) making peace, or because officiant Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) was nearby straining for something to do; whatever the case, Ciara was more than willing.

So, without much adieu, Ben and Ciara planned their quickie wedding. Claire, of course, served as maid of honor, with John Black (Drake Hogestyn), Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), Belle Brady (Martha Madison), and Allie (Lindsay Arnold) as witnesses. It was the stuff of fairytales…minus the finery.

DAYS Recap: Bad Day

Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) day went from bad to worse. First, she was confronted with divorce papers airmailed from hubby Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan); then, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) darkened her door, and he did protest too much about his and Sami Brady DiMera’s (Alison Sweeney) status.

The tension between Nicole and EJ grew even thicker when EJ asked Nicole to speak to Johnny (Carson Boatman) on his behalf, and Nicole interpreted the request as “pimping her out.”

DOOL Recap: Sweet Bits

After reuniting with twin sister Allie, Johnny got his flirt on with Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens). What will he think when Allie reveals that she too has feelings for the budding businesswoman?
