Days of our Lives Recap: Lying Gets Jake and Ava Sprung From Jail

The Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, November 11, 2021, features Melinda Trask deciding to quit while she’s ahead, Abigail Deveraux DiMera doing an about-face, and Philip Kiriakis doing a spot of pruning.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

The not so innocent denizens of Salem: 2; Melinda Trask: $1million. Sure, one could argue that letting Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) walk free on the proviso that he lay the blame at Philip’s (Jay Kenneth Johnson) feet wasn’t exactly justice served. And yes, there probably could have been a fine case made against mob princess Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), despite her suddenly deciding to plead self-defense. But we repeat, Melinda’s got a cool mill in her possession; so, it’s not as though she’s the real loser here.

Then again, if Gwen “Skull Crusher” Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) has anything to say about it, Melinda won’t remain flush for very long. As if that crazy lady is going to let her meal ticket *ahem* we mean, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) – love of her life – go without all that beautiful cash. As if Gwen isn’t going to allow him to treat her to an all-expenses-paid trip to a tropical island. Be afraid, Melinda. Be very afraid.

DAYS Recap: Say What?!

Abby (Marci Miller) has really grown as a person. Just a few months ago, she was prepared to rip every single hair out of Gwen’s scalp one at a time. Now, she’s adopted a more kumbaya approach. In fact, she thinks that Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) should just forgive Gwen all her trespasses.

Yes, yes, Gwen did drug Abby. Yes, Gwen did kill Laura. Yes, Gwen did do a whole host of other despicable things. But you know what? She had a bad childhood; and since Abby knows a little something about absentee fathers, she’s decided to let bygones be bygones. #BetterPerson #HighRoad #PapaDontPreach

DOOL Recap: Green Thumb

In a textbook example of someone’s day going from bad to worse, Philip gets the wrong end of the stick and thinks that his gal cheated on him, then he gets fired from his job. Is it any wonder that the poor fella goes stalking off into the woods and goes all King Kong on the sapling that he and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) planted?
