Days of our Lives Recap: Lucas Horton Played Hero For Sami…Again

The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, December 8, 2021, features Lumi defeating the forces of evil (for now), Paulina Price and Kate Roberts discovering that they are two of a kind, Ava Vitali realizing that the jig is up, and Rafe Hernandez getting all up in Nicole Walker Brady’s business.

It was a perfect example of win some, lose some. Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) managed to track Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) down to her little hole in the wall dungeon, but he let Jason (Noel Gugliemi) the jailer get away – and before he confessed to who signed his paychecks too.

But at least the story has a happy ending, replete with missing mother reunited with her very worried daughter. Please, no questions as to how Sami and Lucas made the four-hour trip in the time it took Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Trip Johnson (Lucas Adams) to travel from University Hospital to her apartment, and have a measly 10-minute discussion.

DAYS Recap: Compare and Contrast

To their collective shock, Paulina (Jackée Harry) and Kate Roberts’s (Lauren Koslow) stories are not that at all dissimilar. Curtis Reed and Ray sound like interchangeable monsters, and both women had to forgo raising their firstborns. Now Kate feels all kinds of guilty for judging Paulina without knowing the facts first.

DOOL Recap: The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter

Not that he’s judging mind you, but Rafe (Galen Gering) is all kinds of upset at Nicole (Arianne Zucker) for reacquainting herself with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). Can’t she see how much that hurts Rafe? Sure, he may be dating Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), but the heart wants what the heart wants, and Rafe’s heart wants Nicole.

Meanwhile, on his way to Chez DiMera, where he plans on wining and dining Nic, EJ made a pitstop at Casa Hernandez to thank Ava for helping Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) out of her jam – and to warn her to be wary of her man’s wandering eye.
