The Days of Our Lives recap for Tuesday, August 13, 2019 features a day of love, romance, and utter disappointment. Brady’s swooning for Nicole but obsessing over Kristen, John and Marlena had similar ideas, and Anna gave Tony a rough time.
A Bittersweet Reunion
Tony (Thaao Penghlis) shocked Anna (Leann Hunley) by being alive. She shocked him by getting violent. She delivered slap after slap until she got it all out of her system. How dare he not die and not tell her! How dare he spend the night in Kate’s room instead of with her! And, most of all, how dare he marry trampy Nicole!
The outburst led to kissing on a park bench until Tony put on the brakes. He would love nothing more than to be with her but he can’t. He may be in a marriage of convenience but they have big plans. They must protect his father’s company.
Talk about a heartbreaking blow. Anna dreamed of this moment and here Tony is, picking a company over love.

Speaking of “Nicole,” (Arianne Zucker), she had a pretty wild day. She had a visit from Marlena (Deidre Hall) and had to fight the urge to shoot her. She got away with killing Ted (so far) but she’d surely be caught if she murdered the Queen.

Thankfully, Brady (Eric Martsolf) showed up to distract “Nicole.” Marlena left, Nicole turned on the charm, and the two ended up back in bed. However, Brady was still obsessing over how much being with Nicole felt like being with Kristen.
A Hot Night
New couple Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Eric (Greg Vaughan) spent their evening turning up the heat in and out of the kitchen. He made a homecooked meal but she was only interested in dessert. Guess which one was served first?
Grand Gestures
Hope (Kristian Alfonso) got the scoop on two big but similar secrets from John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena. She turned to John to help her find Ted’s real killer. He asked her to help him plan a surprise for Marlena – a romantic celebration of their first wedding day.
Much to Hope’s surprise, Marlena shared the same secret. She is planning a big to-do of her own to sweep John off his feet. Talk about great minds thinking alike! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
