The Days of Our Lives recap for Wednesday, January 8, 2020, features epic feuds, secret plots, and a certain ‘Manny’ feeling the pressure.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

Gabi (Camila Banus) felt the walls close in when Eli said Lani spilled the tea about her awful behavior. She nearly confessed all before she realized Eli only knew about her making Lani beg. It was quite the relief, especially when Eli took her side.

As for Lani, she used a JJ (Casey Moss) to her advantage. She asked him for a place to stay and begged him to keep her a secret. JJ agreed, especially when Lani told him some pretty sordid things about the Gabi rivalry. JJ was appalled by Gabi’s dirty deeds and decided to become Lani’s newest ally. However, she didn’t tell him everything.

The Boy Is Mine

Fireworks exploded over at Basic Black between the new co-CEOs. Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) faced off about the mask past, the company, and most of all, Brady (Eric Martsolf). Battle lines were drawn and the women declared war.

As for Brady, he spent his day at the hospital worried about Victor (John Aniston). John (Drake Hogestyn) stuck close by his side and tried to distract him from the dire situation. Of course, getting Brady’s mind off Victor by getting it onto the women wasn’t exactly comforting. Brady knew he was facing an uphill battle.

The Trouble With Evan

There was heartbreak over at the prison when Will (Chandler Massey) opened up to Kate (Lauren Koslow). He made it clear he still loved Sonny (Freddie Smith) but he had to let him go. He can’t be a husband from behind bars and Sonny deserved better. Kate warned he was making a big mistake. First off, Sonny is his soulmate. And, secondly, there was already a shady new fella moving in on his territory.

Kate wasn’t wrong. Evan (Brock Turner) was definitely making his moves. He gave Sonny a listening ear and played the long game. He and Sonny agreed to just be friends until the divorce.

Is Evan Hiding Something?

It’s a good thing they slowed things down. Evan felt the pressure when Rafe (Galen Gearing) asked him to consent to a deep dive background check. Apparently, the detective neglected to check out the help before moving him into the home. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
