Days of our Lives Recap: Kristen’s Last Morning Of Freedom (Probably)

The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, October 12, 2020, features a day full of DiMera trial. Kristen soaks up her last moments of freedom, Abigail puts in a good word for Jake, and Gwen rubs elbows with Jack and Jen.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

It was the morning of Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) trial and she was a mess. She woke up in Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) arms, basked in the joy of motherhood, and panicked about what would come next. Her last moments of happiness crashed down when Melinda showed up at the door to mock her.

Guilt And Loyalty

Speaking of the trial, it can not go on without Eli (Lamon Archey). He has Kristen’s confession on tape and Melinda (Tina Huang) demanded he hands it over. It is the only piece of hard evidence she has on her side. It was easier said than done, though.

Instead of running to the DA, Eli went to see Kristen. He confessed he had her recording. Kristen was shocked. Lani then tried to have a talk with Melinda. She wanted to have a few words alone with the star DA.

Sympathy And Schemes

Lani was not the only one on Kristen’s side. Abigail (Marci Miller) was too (or so it seems). Her first article was an exposé about baby Rachel’s story. How could anyone not be sympathetic towards a grieving mother?

Gwen (Emily O’Brien) did not have a bleeding heart for the DiMera baddie. She even used her lack of a bleeding heart to bond with Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jen (Melissa Reeves). Their chat about the case led to talk of their lives and a slew of family stories.

Let’s Talk About Jake

Meanwhile, Abigail spent her morning convincing Chad (Billy Flynn) to take pity on his brother. Everyone deserved a second chance, so why not Jake (Brandon Barash). Sure, Chad hated Stefan but Jake is a whole different guy, right?

As for Jake, he holed up at his shop, which is where Kate (Lauren Koslow) found him. He took a look at her car while Kate gently dug into his life. Of course, he dug right back. They ended up talking about their love lives (or lack, thereof) and had quite the time flirting. Well, until Chad got there. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
