The Days of Our Lives recap for Friday, April 17, 2020, features Kayla picking her man, Ben almost killing Evan, Rafe making serious threats, and Orpheus stirring the pot.
The battle for Kayla’s (Mary Beth Evans) love went off the rails. Justin (Wally Kurth) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) each vowed to win her over but they knew it was ultimately Kayla’s call. She was torn, for sure, but knew there was only one man for her.
Over in the park, tempers rose when Evan (Brock Kelly) and Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) went to battle over David. Ben almost choked Evan to death but Ciara stopped him. He isn’t worth it, she said. Ben released his grip, sent Ciara and the baby away, and gave Evan a strong warning – stay away from David, or else!
The scene broke up when Zoey arrived. She sent Ben away and assured her client he would be safe. A few more weeks and he would be free as a bird and able to go on living his life.
Meanwhile, Marlena (Deidra Hall) was shocked to find out Orpheus (George DelHoyo) not only alive but back in Salem AND Evan’s (Brock Kelly) dad. She was shaken and looked back at the time Orpheus almost killed her and Kayla.
As for Orpheus, he was at Rafe’s (Galen Gearing) stirring up a ton of trouble, trying to collect his grandson and put the commissioner on notice. He was out of jail, had himself a good lawyer, and immunity for all his crimes. That’s right – he’s back and in the clear, thank you very much.
To say Rafe was furious was an understatement. He pulled a gun, made it clear he would kill Orpheus in a heartbeat, and told him to leave. The situation almost went off the rails but Ciara showed up with David.
Rafe and Ciara wouldn’t let the villain anywhere near the tot so Orpheus stormed out. The duo talked about the run-in at the park (sans the choking) and agreed it may be best to tell David about his dad.
As if that wasn’t enough trouble to stir up, Orpheus went for another visit. He showed up at Marlena’s door and nearly scared the life out of her. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
