The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, November 26, 2021, features Julie Williams channeling her inner Father Karras, the Westons celebrating a relationship milestone, and Susan Banks attempting to outwit, outplay, and outlast the Devil.
If only they’d listened to Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) sooner. Had they done so, Thanksgiving wouldn’t have been so summarily ruined, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) wouldn’t be sporting a concussion, and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) could have avoided that showdown with Old Scratch. Luckily, as in the tales of old, love – and a rosary – conquered all…or, at the very least, it sent a possessed Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) scurrying.
Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) have many firsts to celebrate. Their very first meeting outside the Brady Pub; their first interaction post motorcycle-gate; the first fire they survived together; the first psycho they successfully battled together; and, most important of all, Ciara’s first pregnancy. Ah, young love. Now, if only they could get pesky Marlena off their backs.
Susan (Stacy Haiduk) is the personification of Mother Courage. Who else in Salem would stab themselves with Satan’s own blade in order to spare the life of their beloved son? Heck, if it came right down to it, Susan would even vote for a Democrat if it meant keeping EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) safe…probably. She’d lost a lot of blood by the time that loopy conversation was had.
And speaking of loopiness, everyone, from Tony (Thaao Penghlis) and Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) to Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) is now very much aware of the fact that Marlena is possessed by the Devil…and they’ve chosen to do very little about it. Seriously, did they really think entrusting her to the guy who couldn’t keep Princess Gina in check like, ever, was a good idea?
