The Days of Our Lives recap for August 24-28, 2020, features Sami getting the short end of the stick, Ben terrified for his significant other, and the exit of two beloved characters.

Days of Our Lives Recap Highlights

The truth is supposed to set you free. But for Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), the truth is kinda like a straight jacket. Every time she resorts to it, she gets constricted. Take for instance her confession to being really, really crappy to John (Drake Hogestyn).

That resulted in her losing her legal representation. Then, when she called Nicole (Arianne Zucker) out for being the murdering Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) she was made to look a fool in front of the judge deciding Baby Horton’s fate. Is it any wonder that the lady’s default setting is habitual fibber?

Regression and Regret

Speaking of default settings, where Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) is concerned, it’s beginning to look like a case of “once a serial strangler, always a serial strangler.” He advanced on a poor, cowering Ciara (Victoria Konefal), tie at the ready, and now he can’t seem to remember what happened next – or exactly where Ciara ended up. Don’t you just hate when potential corpses start disappearing on you?

Rafe and Gabi Bid Farewell

The Hernandez clan can never have anything nice. Just when it seemed that they may have an opening for romance or adventure, it had to be immediately snatched away from them. And once again, it was Eduardo (A Martinez) who did the snatching.

After sensing that his children were beginning to make inroads with their significant others, he swooped in, informed them that a hit squad was on the way to assassinate the entire family, and demanded that they leave with him ASAP.

Rafe (Galen Gering) was forced to say goodbye to Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Gabi (Camila Banus) had the unenviable task of bidding Jake (Brandon Barash) a super bitchy goodbye – and only hours after they finally consummated their love/hate relationship.
